New Sound Artwork

Artist Julia Cowie contacted me recently regarding the possibility of using my voice for one of her artworks. She is creating a series of hand held sound pieces, inspired by the landscape and sounds of the sea shore.
She is currently working with a composer, pulling together sounds of the sea and an excerpt from kist o dreams. You can read about her cast metal bowls which will be used for the piece on her blog juliacowie.wordpress.com.
A previous piece of Julia's, "Pearls is Tears", was inspired by the freshwater pearl fishing which was at one time an important source of income for some Scottish Travellers.
