Every festival has its own style and feel and that's part of the fun of tailoring workshops and other kinds of involvement in festivals.

I've taken part in festivals as diverse as Glasgow's Celtic Connections, Maryland's Common Ground on the Hill, North Carolina's Swannanoa Gathering, Konstanz's Failte festival, the Merry Dancers Tales at Martinmas, Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, the Black Isle Words Festival and feis an eilean/the Skye Festival.

Each one is very different and I've had a very different involvement in each - with collaborative performances and  workshops with storytellers, formal classes, informal drift-in installation, and semi-scheduled participatory workshops.
