Fèis Gleann Albainn

Added on 27 June 2011

During the Summer break, I will be popping down to Fort Augustus every day  25-29 July to teach at the Fèis.

Fèis Gleann Albainn is the fèis in the heart of the Highlands, located at the foot of Loch Ness in the scenic Great Glen, run by a group of dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers from the villages of Fort Augustus, Invermoriston and Invergarry.

The summer Fèis is aimed at the 8-18 age group, with additional morning events for the 5-8 year olds.

The range of classes on offer includes fiddle, accordion, guitar, bodhran, chanter, whistle and keyboard, along with non-instrumental classes in Gaelic language, shinty, Celtic art, drama and stagecraft.  Older children can also opt to work on PA and lighting.
