Community Singing Groups

Added on 20 June 2017

I have been leading the local community singing groups, Village Voices in Rosemarkie and Singing for Fun in Muir of Ord for the past year or so.

Both groups are off on the Summer Break now and will re-commence in September.  Village Voices is moving to a Tuesday night for logistical reasnons and Singing for Fun is still on Monday nights, now in the upstairs of the new Muir Hub.

The emphasis is firmly on singing for it's own sake and no member of the group is made to sing solo or take part in any performances, if they don't want to.

Each meeting starts off with a few warm-ups for posture, breathing and voice and moves on to some very simple songs to get us all in the mood before we tackle anything more involved.

Sometimes we do work on songs with parts, sometimes we don't.  It all depends on what we feel like and the interests of group members.  Members are encouraged to suggest songs and if time allows, we will all share these songs.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you are at all interested in taking part!  Every voice is very welcome.
